Tragically, such life-threatening road accidents are not uncommon in Punjab. Just a day earlier, five people were killed and 14 others injured in a truck overturning on the highway near Khairpur. These accidents are often attributed to poor driving skills, lack of safety measures, failure to wear seatbelts, and deteriorating road infrastructure. Overloaded buses and trucks also contribute to such accidents by increasing the risk of vehicles overturning.
