BLACKPINK to debut ‘BORN PINK’ concert film on their 8th Anniversary

BLACKPINK is set to commemorate their eighth anniversary by bringing the BORN PINK world tour to the big screen.

Billboard reported on Friday, June 21, that the renowned all-girl group consisting of Jennie Kim, Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo announced on Thursday, June 20, that they will be releasing a special concert film to celebrate eight years since their debut.

The concert film, titled BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK] IN CINEMAS, will premiere on July 31 for a limited run. The film will showcase the K-pop quartet’s world tour, which began in October 2022 and concluded in September 2023, following their second album, BORN PINK.

Premiering in more than 110 countries, the movie will feature performances from Gocheok Dome in Seoul and clips from other tour locations.

The group performed in 22 countries, delivering 66 concerts across the tour.

Their sold-out tour, celebrated as “the highest-grossing tour by an Asian act and a female group in history,” attracted an audience of 1.8 million.

The acclaimed South Korean girl band also secured the tenth spot on Billboard’s 2023 Year-End Top 40 Tours chart worldwide.
