Severe Fog Leads to Motorway Closures Across Pakistan

Dense fog has caused the closure of several sections of Pakistan's motorway system, leading to significant disruptions for commuters and transportation services.

Authorities have implemented safety measures by temporarily halting traffic on critical routes where visibility has dropped significantly.

Among the affected routes is the full closure of the Sialkot Motorway (M-11), while traffic on the Lahore to Kot Momin section of Motorway M-2 has been suspended as well. The entire M-3 Motorway has also been shut down, and the M-4 Motorway, connecting Pindi Bhattian to Abdul Hakeem, is currently impassable due to the severe fog.

Officials are advising drivers to refrain from non-essential travel under these dangerous conditions and to stay informed about the ongoing situation regarding road reopenings. Travelers are urged to take extra precautions and prioritize safety until conditions improve and regular traffic flows are restored.
