Kensington Palace shared the backstage photo on X (formerly Twitter), featuring the royal trio with Swift and captioned it: “Thank you Taylor Swift for a great evening!”
Prince William, celebrating his 42nd birthday, earned major dad points by taking his eldest children to the highly anticipated concert. His birthday week was eventful as he had just returned from Germany, where he attended England’s Euro 2024 match against Denmark the night before.
Swift later posted another selfie including her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, alongside Prince William, 10-year-old Prince George, and nine-year-old Princess Charlotte. Her post read: “Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start.”
Videos shared online showed Prince William dancing to Swift’s hit song “Shake It Off” later in the evening. Meanwhile, Catherine, Princess of Wales, stayed home with six-year-old Prince Louis. However, an official photograph featuring Prince Louis was released earlier on Friday to mark William’s birthday.
Prince William and Taylor Swift, 34, have known each other for over a decade. In 2013, they performed “Livin’ On A Prayer” with Jon Bon Jovi at a charity event at Kensington Palace.
The royal trio and Swift, along with her boyfriend, were all smiles in the Instagram photo shared by Taylor Swift.
