Gold Prices in Pakistan Rise Slightly as Global Rates Recover

On Friday, the price of gold in Pakistan increased by Rs. 1,000 per tola, following a previous drop of Rs. 2,300 per tola.

Data from the Karachi Sarafa Association shows that the price of 24-carat gold went up by Rs. 1,000 per tola to Rs. 251,500. The price for 10 grams also rose by Rs. 858, reaching Rs. 215,621.

Gold prices also saw a rise in the international market, with spot gold increasing by 0.3 percent to $2,370.5 per ounce by 11:10 GMT. However, international gold prices are still down 4.5 percent from their record high of $2,483.60, which was reached on July 17.

In the local market, gold prices hit an all-time high of Rs. 254,000 per tola last week, after rising by Rs. 4,600 per tola.
