The generation-defining rivalry between two of the most sought-after football players — Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi — will take centre stage tomorrow as Al Nassr and Inter Miami lock heads in the Riyadh Cup match.
According to the Seatpick website, as reported by Al Arabiya, tickets for the match titled “The Last Dance” went on sale earlier this week and have reached a record high of $11,214 for the platinum seats.
However, need not worry; the starting price for the tickets is $200.
Last year, a Saudi Arabian businessman bid $2.6 million in an auction to see Ronaldo and Messi face off in a friendly match between Paris Saint-Germain and Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr.
Messi and his team arrived in Saudi Arabia on Friday, receiving a warm welcome at the airport.
Messi’s affinity for Saudi Arabia has been in the spotlight since the Argentine player became a brand ambassador for Saudi tourism.
In his latest campaign, he can be seen breaking stereotypes linked to the Kingdom by smashing metaphorical walls with stereotypical labels on them with his football.
“What I love about Saudi Arabia is that I always discover what I never expected,” he said in the video.
The highly anticipated clash between two of the greatest footballers in history, Ronaldo and Messi, is scheduled to take place tomorrow at 11 pm IST at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh.
