Students Urge Federal Government to Prolong Summer Break

Following the Sindh government’s decision to extend summer holidays, students in the federal capital are now awaiting news on whether the federal government will also prolong the summer break.

The Federal Education Department had previously announced that all federal schools would be closed from June 10 to July 31 due to high temperatures, with classes set to resume on August 1. Currently, there has been no update regarding an extension of the summer vacation in the federal capital. The federal government may consider revising the holiday schedule based on ongoing weather conditions.

It is worth noting that the Sindh government has opted to extend summer vacations by 14 days for both public and private schools due to the continuing severe weather. The Sindh Education Department has announced that schools will remain closed until August 14, with classes scheduled to start again on August 15.
