The Federal Directorate of Education has declared summer vacations for all educational institutions within the Islamabad Capital Territory, starting from June 10 and ending on July 31.

However, students pursuing undergraduate programs (BS/ADP) will continue their classes according to the regular semester schedule.

During the summer break, educational institutions will focus on improving their infrastructure and operational efficiency. This includes activities such as physical stock verification, and repairing and maintaining furniture, buildings, and playgrounds.

Additionally, in-house professional development sessions will be held in the last week of July. These sessions aim to equip teaching staff with updated skills and methodologies. To support these initiatives, heads of educational institutions have been tasked with actively involving teachers and leveraging their expertise to accomplish the assigned tasks efficiently.

The regulator for Islamabad’s government schools and colleges also mentioned that teachers would participate in training sessions, with the schedule to be communicated to them at a later date.
