In Rawalpindi, a man has been reported to have cut off a donkey’s ears.

In Rawalpindi, an influential individual reportedly chopped off both ears of a donkey in a shocking case of animal abuse.

The donkey’s owner, Tanvir Hussain, filed a First Information Report (FIR) against the suspect, identified as Arshad Mahmood, at Rawat police station. The motive behind this cruel act remains unknown.

According to the FIR, the donkey was released to drink water in open land after the wheat harvest. However, witnesses to the crime, who are residents of the area, were afraid to name the influential person.

In a recent similar incident in Sanghar, a landlord cut off a camel’s leg for entering his agricultural land in search of fodder. The video of this brutal act went viral on social media, prompting widespread condemnation.

Despite public outrage, the police only registered an FIR against unknown individuals involved in the incident, not the landlord. However, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ijaz later confirmed the arrest of five individuals, two of whom confessed to the crime of animal abuse.

Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori announced that the person whose animal was harmed would be given two camels as compensation.
